An intricate web of intrigue is unfolding on WandaVision, the new series now debuting on Disney+. What first appeared as a vintage sitcom staged in the 1950’s is becoming a mystery that is slowly building. Surprising plot twists are popping up in this evolving series. Life in the blissful suburb town of Westview, New Jersey, is not what is seems…

In celebration of the classic American sitcom, WandaVision takes audiences back to the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) are two superheroes who find themselves living the perfect, rather surreal life in Westview.

Marvel fans will remember these two most powerful Avengers. Curiously, Vision, an android, died in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War… making his appearance in WandaVision a bit perplexing. Hints and clues to an underlying mystery begin to surface… and cracks in the façade of normalcy begin to appear as the episodes continue to air.

Questions arise in the minds of viewers… Has Wanda created this alternate reality to process her grief over losing her beloved Vision? Are her superpowers of telekinesis and reality manipulation truly that powerful? Or is there a dark, sinister power lurking in the background of this altered universe?

WandaVision takes place after the events of Avengers: End Game. It sets up to be the prelude to Marvel’s upcoming movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in which Wanda will play an integral role as Maximoff. The series marks the beginning of Phase 4 of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

Rotten Tomatoes gives WandaVision a 93% approval rating, describing the series as… “part loving homage to TV history, part off-kilter mystery. WandaVision is a wonderfully weird and strikingly bold step into the small screen for the MCU”. Catch all the episodes as they air on Disney+ and watch the mystery unfold.
